For a Client in the Tema Heavy Industrial Area, we are looking for a

Production Supervisor m/f

ideally you are an Electrical Engineer or similar

prefer a 23-43-year old but again, not a must

You will report to the Plant Manager

 

Purpose of the Job

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production process.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; and evaluating new equipment and techniques. Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; and recommending action.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Participate as an active member of the Safety Committee

JOB SPECIFICATION

Education

  • Minimum of Diploma in Electrical Engineering or other Professional qualification in Engineering or Physical Science from a recognized university.

Experience

  • 2+ years relevant working experience in a production/ manufacturing environment.

Knowledge & Skills

      • Must have knowledge in Production Engineering and Management.
      • Must possess leadership and managerial qualities.
      • Should have high sense of responsibility and ability to coordinate activities of production personnel.
      • Ability to work under pressure in a target driven environment.
      • Good judgment, high integrity and analytical skills

Location

The Company is based in Tema Heavy Industrial Area

Working Days

This is a 5-day a week job but occasionally you might need to work half days on Saturdays

 

Salary + Benefits

The Target Base Salary for this role is between 1.000-  2.000 net – depending on your experience, education, professional qualifications, etc please.
