The official Job Title is : Senior Ticketing Officer
Location is Osu
Job Summary
The Senior Ticketing Officer will head the ticketing department in Ghana oversee and manage all ticketing operations for the Client and their related companies, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and exceptional customer service.
This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in ticketing systems, and experience in visa procurement processes. The successful candidate will manage the company’s ticketing department, optimize workflows, and maintain relationships with airlines, travel partners, and regulatory bodies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Leadership & Management
- Manage the company’s ticketing department, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Develop and implement ticketing policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide training and mentorship to staff on ticketing systems and customer service.
- Ticketing Operations
- Oversee the reservations and issuance of airline tickets through Amadeus and other GDS platforms.
- Ensure compliance with IATA regulations and airline policies.
- Issuing ticketing refunds and cancellations properly on the various platforms
- Monitor and manage ticketing queues, reissues, and exchanges.
- Visa Procurement
- Coordinate visa processing for clients, including Visa on Arrival with Ghana Immigration Services and Ghana Airport.
- Maintain updated knowledge of visa requirements and immigration regulations.
- Provide management with appropriate means and alternatives for reducing visa procurement costs to the Client and their related companies
- Ticket Marketing & Sales
- Develop and implement strategies to market ticketing services and increase sales for the company.
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to grow ticketing revenue.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to optimize pricing and promotions.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design campaigns that drive ticket sales.
- Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Handle escalated customer inquiries and resolve complex ticketing issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, travel partners, and regulatory authorities.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular reports on ticketing performance, revenue, and operational efficiency.
- Analyze market trends and recommend strategies to improve ticketing services.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to company policies, IATA standards, and local regulations.
- Implement measures to minimize fraud and operational risks.
- Collaborate closely with the Finance Department to ensure timely and accurate settlement of all IATA remittances, safeguarding uninterrupted operations and compliance with industry standards
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of working experience in the travel and tourism industry.
- At least 5 years of experience with an IATA-accredited agency issuing tickets.
- Proven experience in visa procurement, including Visa on Arrival processes in Ghana.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Amadeus (mandatory).
- Familiarity with other GDS platforms is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of airline fare structures, ticketing rules, and IATA regulations.
Soft Skills
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Preferred start date December 29, 2025.
Working hours
5 days a week
SALARY
Base salary is 6.000-max 15.000, depending on experience
+ several benefits…eg transport, lunch etc
possible commission + annual bonus are to be defined
