Our Client, a food manufacturing startup in Osu, is looking for a

ACCOUNTANT m/f

must have set up an accounting system from scratch before

must be Level 2 or 3 please – respect that please.

Location is Osu. literally a very short walk from Oxford Street

Ideally, you are 27-37… not a must

This is a 5.days-a-week role

The Job

Ypu shall provide specialized financial management, tax planning, and compliance services tailored to new businesses, often focusing on cash flow management, R&D tax credits, and equity structuring.

You will help founders with financial forecasting, KPI analysis, and setting up scalable, cloud-based accounting systems for growth

Partial Tasks List:

Financial Forecasting: Creating cash flow projections to prevent running out of funds.
Tax Compliance & Strategy: Handling VAT, payroll, and corporate tax returns, as well as securing R&D tax credits.
Financial Advise: Providing high-level strategic advice and regular financial reporting to stakeholders.
Cloud Accounting Setup: Implementing tools like QuickBooks for real-time data access.
Payroll runs

Basically. you will managing and reporting on the company’s financial transactions so you can maintain accurate records and clearly communicate financial health to investors and stakeholders –‘ so EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS is a must

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
Completed ACCA or ICAG Level 2 or above
Exceptional Communication Skills – Strong interpersonal skills
Must have experience in setting an Accounting System from scratch
Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and financial integrity.
Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic, forward-thinking mindset.
High level of initiative and ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities under pressure.
Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to cross-functional engagement.
Unwavering professionalism, discretion, and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.

SALARY

4-11,000 NET depending on experience

Salary will grow in the 2nd year, after the flow of revenue – the company is expected to go live in 2-3 months…
