Our Client – a young media production firm moving to Accra soon, is looking for a

Jnr Social Media Manager m/f

This is a fulltime job- not looking for freelancers or contractors please

You will be Accra- based, provided a laptop if needed and be forking for home for t lest the first 6-8 months


The Company

They are a young renowned start up multimedia company creating entrepreneurship content for YouTube, TikTok, television, radio among other platforms.

  • 85% of the job is working on this new company and
  • 15% of the job is supporting similar tasks for sister companies or business units.


The Job


  • Oversee all social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, Instagram, X, YouTube and blog layout).
  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
  • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (original text, photos, videos and news)
  • Collaborate with graphic designer to ensure brand consistency
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications


 Qualifications & Competences needed

• A minimum of a Degree or Professional Certification from a recognized institution in Marketing/ Digital Marketing or IT or anything related, is highly desirable…., but someone for example with a Graphics Design background who is self-taught is also extremely welcome
• Some business acumen will be beneficial.

• Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager for 1.5 years

  • Must be disciplined enough to wok remotely – you will be monitored
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills
  • Must have basic exposure using Chat GPT or in the process of learning it
  • Hands on experience in content management
  • Copywriting skills are highly desirable
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Basic to Advanced knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels
  • Familiarity with web design would be an added advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical and multitasking skills
  • You must know how to run ads on Google and FB


The Company is based in Tema but it would be moving in Accra end of the year and at least till then , you will be working from home. but you need (or not) to go probably 1-2 times a month to their Tema Premises.

They are currently looking for office in Legon, Abelenkpe and anywhere near the airport; but searching commercial space to rent, is not an instant thing- that is why they estimate another 5-7 months till they find an office in Accra


Person Specification

In this kind of job, the more your knowledge, the better your work’s output.

So it is of paramount importance that you have the attitude , aptitude and self- motivation to be constantly learning… from acquiring more knowledge on SEO and Google Adwords & Analytics, to Inbound Marketing, Email Marketing, Landing Pages (please take the free online HubSpot Academy courses) to Facebook ads, setting Meta Pixels, and all sorts of new Social Media platforms and tools

And you should desire to get all google certifications please…


Working Days

This is a 5-day a week job but occasionally you might need to work half days on Saturdays


Salary + Benefits

Target Base Salary for this role is 2.500- 4.000 net – depending on your experience and qualifications please. For SuperStellar candidates, it might be slightly negotiable

Salary in inclusive the 1-2 times a month transport to Tema

Benefits are to be defined in a future stage
