Our Client – a dynamic Real Estate firm, is looking for a

Jnr Procurement Officer m/f

with minimum 2+ yrs hands-on experience as a Procurement Officer

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The Procurement Officer is responsible for procuring, expediting deliveries, and scheduling delivery of materials and services to the required department / unit.

Your role ranges from optimizing costs to creating value

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processes requisitions into purchase orders, purchase supplies, materials, and services.
  • Contacts suppliers and transportation companies, to ensure materials, supplies, and equipment are shipped and delivered as and when required.
  • Ensures pricing is accurate and confirms expected delivery date with vendor.
  • Reviews quotes, determines contract prices, follows up on orders placed, verifies delivery, and approves payment.
  • Administrative tasks of maintaining various purchasing reporting systems
  • Integrating and leading cross-functional teams if required by the management.
  • Maintain approved vendor listing in conjunction with the Quantity Surveyors and finance departments.
  • Ensure timely, accurate delivery of purchased items.
  • Handle local and oversea purchasing orders, releasing PO to supplier, following up the PO readiness date.
  • Check up the PO price and related PO information, submit the shipment documents and apply for payment if required.
  • Periodically evaluate supplier delivery, reliability, quality performance and work with supplier for any corrective and improving actions
  • Propose Purchasing Process Improvement and follow up closely.
  • Complete other related tasks assigned by supervisor
  • Carry out the purchasing process daily.
  • Analyzing previous construction projects data and giving feedback to Construction team
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned within you area of jurisdiction.

 Qualifications & Competences needed

  • Minimum qualification – first degree
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar field
  • Budgeting skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with complex transactions with little or no supervision.
  • Excellent computer skills and the willingness to learn company created software for managing projects and purchases.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with suppliers and clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • IT skills, including: Excellent Excel and Power point skills
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills
  • Analytical and multitasking skills
  • Driving License a Plus

Location

Airport Residential Area in Accra

 

Working Days

  • Monday to Friday – 7am to 4pm (full day)
  • Saturday – 7am to 12pm (Half day)

 

Salary + Benefits

Target Base Salary for this role is 3.700- 5.000 gross – depending on your experience and qualifications please.

For SuperStellar candidates, it might be slightly negotiable

+ Plus: there is a KPI/Performance Bonus
