JOB SCOPE 

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Accra, Ghana. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing our financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity in all aspects of our operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESÂ

• Develop and implement Financial Strategies, Forecasts and Budgets aligned with Corporate goals
• Conduct financial analysis, risk assessments, and performance evaluations to support decision making
• Prepare Accurate and timely financial statements, reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, relevant financial regulations, and statutory reporting requirements
• Manage Cash Flow, Liquidity, and Working Capital in order to support daily operations
• Lead the budgeting process, collaborating with departmental heads to allocate resources effectively
• Monitor and Control expenditures to ensure adherence to the budget
• Implement strategies to optimize cash resources and minimize financial risks
• Identify, access and mitigate financial risks, including currency fluctuations and interest rate exposure
• Implement risk management strategies to safeguard the company\’s financial health
• Coordinate and facilitate both internal and external audits
• Evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy
• Implement technology solutions to streamline operations
• Provide strategic financial advice to senior management, contributing to the formation of business strategies
• Collaborate with Executives to identify opportunities for financial growth and efficiency
• Communicate financial information and insights to various stakeholders including executives, Board members and investors
• Perform and support all payroll functions/processes
• Adhere to company-policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor\’s and 5-7 years experience as an accountant- not an Auditor

Prefer someone with Level 2 or 3 ACCA or ICAG or Chartered Accountants, but to all honesty it is the hands-on work experience that we are looking for.

Salary + Benefits

Target Base Salary is $535 USD gross – that is circa 5.200 cedis net …for exceptional – really exceptional candidates (eg coming for a Marketing or Advertising or PR company) salary might be slightly negotiable

The company is new to Ghana so Benefits will be defined later on please.
