JOB SCOPEÂ

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Developer with a deep understanding of the market in Ghana to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and driving growth in the Ghanaian market

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESÂ

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive landscape in Ghana.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to expand the Group\’s presence and revenue streams in the Ghanaian market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, event organizers, agencies, and decision-makers within target industries.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including lead generation, prospecting, and networking events.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to customize proposals, presentations, and solutions that meet the needs and objectives of prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of agreements in alignment with company policies and objectives.
  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline development, and market trends to management.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Represent the Group in Ghana at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our services and establish thought leadership in the market.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of business development processes, tools, and strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor\’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management, with at least 7 years of experience in the Ghanaian market.
  • Deep understanding of the events management, marketing, and advertising industry in Ghana.
  • Strong network of contacts and relationships with key stakeholders in the corporate, entertainment, and marketing sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English

Prefer someone with a Masters and CIM certifications, but to all honesty it is the hands-on work experience that we are looking for

Working days

This is a 5-day a week job -unless there is an event taking place that we need to support

Salary + Benefits

Target Base Salary is $535-$800 USD gross – that is circa 5.200-8.000 cedis net

But …for exceptional – really exceptional candidates (eg coming for a Marketing or Advertising or PR company with a big contacts-network ) salary might be slightly negotiable

Commission will be defined during the interviews

The company is new to Ghana so Benefits will be defined later on please. There is no car provided at present.
